Selected from the top 20% of Bachelor, Masters, and Doctorate level applicants, our coaches are trained and certified through an internationally recognized peer coaching program that has trained Fortune 500 companies, CEOs, and Tech Founders for over 25 years. Aligned with the National Board of Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC) and the International Coaching Federation (ICF), Trula Coaches are also trained in best practices and are overseen by a licensed clinical social worker.

4- START COACHING

In the first coaching session, the coach and your child will get to know each other, explore what coaching is and how it can help guide them on their journey.

Who are the Coaches?

Trula coaches are college students from many different backgrounds who are passionate about wellness coaching and giving back to their peers. Our Peer Coaches are scholarship recipients, psychology students, and oftentimes past Trula Coachees. But more importantly, they’re your child’s peers. Peer coaches bring a level of understanding and social belonging to their coaching sessions that others can’t.

What is peer coaching?

Coaching is a goal-oriented approach meant to provide you with a partner (your coach) and tools to help make progress and overcome challenges in different areas of your life. We all have goals we want to reach, challenges we’re striving to overcome and times when we feel stuck. Partnering with a coach can change your life, setting you on a path to lifelong success and greater personal fulfillment.

What is the difference between peer coaching and therapy?

Coaching and therapy share some similarities as they both use evidence-based techniques and tools to empower clients to overcome challenges and enhance their well-being. However, therapists are licensed to provide mental health treatment and treat mental illness while coaches are not.

Another difference between coaching and therapy is that therapists are often focused on past trauma and present conditions while coaches meet their clients in the present moment and focus on future outcomes by clarifying goals, identifying obstacles, and creating proactive action plans with their clients.

Who are the coaches?

TrulaCampus coaches are college-aged students who have completed a nationally recognized peer coaching training. Trula Peer Coaches are vetted through background and reference checks. Our team of coaches are supervised by a NBHWC Certified coach and LCSW. Every coach is QPR trained and certified for suicide prevention best practices.

How much does it cost?

We offer two affordable pricing options for TrulaCampus coaching. Our coaching packages are often less expensive than most insurance co-pays.

I've heard TrulaCampus is free, is that true?

Trula first launched our TrulaCampus program in select pilot universities and colleges. This means TrulaCampus may be a free resource if your child attends one of the following higher ed institutions:
